Puma Authenticity Guide

Puma shirt authenticity checks for labels, product codes, badges and sponsor detail.

Start with Style No or Article No

Modern Puma shirts often use a Style No or Article No on the internal label. The code should support the exact club, season and colourway, not simply any Puma shirt. Older Puma shirts may not follow the same system, so era context matters.

Check label consistency

Compare the neck writing, internal labels, country of manufacture and sizing. Poor spacing, missing manufacture details, vague swing-tag wording or contradictions between labels should push the shirt towards human review.

Security tag and logo checks

If the shirt has a front security or authenticity tag, the style should match the era. Repeated security numbers on unrelated shirts are a warning sign. Puma logos should have sharp proportions rather than a distorted or bulky shape.
